I've never had a cavity in my life. I had braces when I was a kid and my wisdom teeth taken out while in college but other than that I've been fairly lucky as far as the pearly whites go. But then there was today: four fillings. I guess my gums had receded a bit and something needed to be fixed so they did the fillings. Four fillings and the usual check up ran me $600 because I don't take the dental insurance at work because the one and only dentist I've ever had is not on their approved list. $600!!! So here I sit on the deck and I can't feel my lower jar. As I sip my beer through a straw some ends up shooting out my mouth because I can't feel my lower lip. I mean, can you think of anything more tragic?
